This session is geared toward Individuals who interact with children and youth in various settings (schools, community programs, foster care, etc.). As an influential adult in a child’s life, it is important to build a strong and authentic relationship. Children need to be surrounded by caring people and know they are in a safe space. By recognizing a child’s/youth’s culture, past traumas and background it increases the capacity to create a safe and supportive learning environment in which that child/youth can excel academically and socially.
