2015 Film Festival

2015 BET-C Film Festival

The Third Annual BET-C Film Festival entertained, educated and delighted the appreciative audience. This year, videos made by students and educators to share Instruction and Information on Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) as well as Bully Prevention were showcased. Although many creative and engaging videos were submitted and screened, a few stood out as Award Winners.

View these examples, then submit your video in January 2016!

2015 Instructional Video

Lake View Primary School, students demonstrate and teach PRIDE Expectations throughout the school

We are SPARK! First & 2nd graders explain what PBIS is and then demonstrate what SPARK (Safe, Positive, Appropriate, Responsible & Kind) behavior looks like in the classroom.

PBIS Do’s and Don’ts. Augustus H.Shaw’s Shark TV filmed a public information video for our school. We thought it would be a fun to show students (and teachers!) what PBIS doesn’t look like and then, show them what it does look like. This is shared school-wide. We will be doing more PBIS public information video’s throughout the year showing various expectations.

SWAP Cards. Sierra Linda High School Staff With A Purpose (SWAP) Cards give students the opportunity to recognize adults at SLHS for demonstrating our school PBIS expectations!

Mohave Speaks Up! The Cartoon Network and Cox Communication are leading a National Anti-bullying campaign to Speak Up, very similar to the Stop, Walk, Talk we have at Mohave Middle School. They are promoting empowering students, teaching them to speak up for others by reporting to adults when unkind behavior is observed. Mohave was the only school in Arizona selected to host the Speak Up Event on October 21st, 2014. This video showcases this special event at Mohave Middle School. Our students use PAWS expectations throughout the day and Speak Up by using the Stop, Walk and Talk!

Prevent Bullying. This grade 2 student written, directed and produced video from Drexel Elementary School describes the impact and consequences of cyber bullying at school. Power words, images and message from such young students.

“Pawsitive” Behavior at Coyote Springs. Breaking News….Coyote Springs Elementary School students and staff report on their success with the PBIS “Pawsitive” behavior initiative!

Do you want to be Respectful? Grade 6 girls at Sacaton Middle School on the Gila River Reservation wrote and sang a song about PBIS expectations at their school.
