Jansen Azaries CEO/President and Co Founder of Higher Ground a Resource Center

Jansen Azarias is originally from the Philippines and studied Computer Science before immigrating to the US. Jansen is a systems thinker citizen social scientist. Jansen started building a system framework anchored in the scientific inspirations of other work around the world relating to youth engagement. In recognition of his work, Jansen has received 2018 Melanie McClintock Leadership Award of Excellence and 2017 Next Generation in After School Award.

Strategic Community Engagement:

We were inspired by the sciences: Self-control, Grit Agency, Executive functions, 2-gen family engagement, PBIS, SEL and Trauma Response. We developed a way to harness our experience and compassion into a viable framework that can be taught. Understand how Restart Smart, a community school initiative, is powered by Higher Ground’s special form of Whole Child and family engagement.
